Totally nails why The Phantom Menace is the worst Star Wars film. Watch all 7 parts, because it’s a great film on its own.

The Christmas Tree
I’ve invented a cocktail, I call it the Christmas Tree. Well, I haven’t perfected it yet, but when it’s done it’ll be called the Christmas Tree. Really I’m trying to figure out what to do with my Eau de Vie de Douglas Fir.
Rim a cocktail glass with lemon juice
In a shaker:
2 ice cubes
1 oz Eau de Vie de Douglas Fir
2 oz Tanqueray Gin
Shake, strain into...

What should I build with my AppEngine account?
I need some ideas for applications that I can build with my AppEngine account. According to the Google AppEngine FAQ: During the Google App Engine preview release, each developer can create 3 applications with their Google App Engine administrator account. At this time, once an application is created, you may not delete the application. I’d better choose carefully :-)

Twitter notes
I noticed that John was using Twhirl to post his tweets, so I gave it a try too. I’ve switched back to Twitterific, it is better at being unobtrusive. I like that it’s a menu bar item, and doesn’t take up any room in the dock (although I keep my dock hidden). The one thing Twhirl does that Twitterific doesn’t is that it displays what UI was used for each tweet (just as...

Cosmopolitan Recipe
2 oz Vodka ¾ oz Triple Sec 1 oz Rose’s Lime Cordial 1 oz Cranberry Cocktail Combine in shaker with ice, shake vigourously. Garnish with maraschino cherry. Serves 1. [placed here so we don’t lose it again] The Rose’s Lime Cordial is crucial! Don’t skimp and use limeade or lime juice. You need its sweetness.
Random songs ending up silent in iTunes
So I figured out why some songs were completely silent, while others were extremely loud. The volume adjustment slider on some was at -100%, others at around -20%, and some at +100%. That would explain it I guess. I have no idea how these sliders got changed — there’s no pattern to it.

Deutsche Grammophon Gesellschaft →
Deutsche Grammophon gets it. They have over 600 out-of-print CDs available as 320bps MP3 downloads (for purchase). There is absolutely no reason why other labels cannot do this too! Law-abiding people end up turning into pirates when they can’t find a copy to buy. Kudos to DG.
merlin: Hüsker Dü- Zen Arcade, Side 2 (tab) One of the most cathartic sides of punk in the 1980s — both to listen to and to play. Good find! That is probably my all-time favourite album, and one of the best double albums ever. Although I like side 4 the best, I can’t help but crank it every time I hear Turn On The News.
I’ve got Cocoalicious working. The trick is to install beta45 instead of beta43, and then change the API address. Somehow I had installed b43 thinking it was the latest and greatest. It’s not.
