The Christmas Tree

I’ve invented a cocktail, I call it the Christmas Tree.  Well, I haven’t perfected it yet, but when it’s done it’ll be called the Christmas Tree.  Really I’m trying to figure out what to do with my Eau de Vie de Douglas Fir.

  1. Rim a cocktail glass with lemon juice
  2. In a shaker:
    • 2 ice cubes
    • 1 oz Eau de Vie de Douglas Fir
    • 2 oz Tanqueray Gin
  3. Shake, strain into glass.
  4. Garnish with a lemon twist

I use Tanqueray gin because I think of it as having botanicals with more of a coniferous taste than say Plymouth (or the first run of Victoria gin).

It’s not right.  I tried something last Christmas but I didn’t write it down.  This is close to what I had.  Let me know if you can think of any improvements…
